There are a lot of ways you can promote your Charity. One of the big ways is to create a website. A lot of people I meet say well it’s for a local charity why should I create a website?

  • You can offer multiple ways for people to promote the charity through the internet.
  • You can promote your charity for people who aren’t just in your area to donate!
  • You can monetize your charities website and earn more money for it if you have a website.

Offering multiple ways may become a task however a lot of people have an issue with just flat out donation. They don’t donate as much if they aren’t getting anything in return. This is where places like Ibakesale come in handy. People aren’t just flat out donating. They are doing their every day shopping and choosing to donate from 5%-100% to one or more charities.  This has been gaining a lot of hoo-ha. What better way to get people to donate, than not only giving them money or discounts but also gaining from their shopping. A lot of places don’t do cash back, but the fact is it is offering more. How many of you would shop if you are getting cash back? I know I use my Paypal debit card more than regular debit card just because of a little 1.5% cash back!  So capitalizing on that is definitely worth it!

Another great thing about having websites for your charity, being able to hand out the flyers or leaving them in local and semi-local businesses if they have a place to login to gain more information it is definitely helpful.  You can go into details, you can stumble the website, and you can promote it anywhere online! If you are a mommy blogger ask your readers to donate to it! You wouldn’t believe how many people will actually donate!

One of the last things I touched upon is being able to monetize your charities website. If you can okay creating a website for your charity you can monetize it in a lot of ways.  Placing Google Ads, Yahoo! Publisher Ads, or any other ads on the site where it is PPC will allow you to earn income without trying! Another way is paid posts! Joining places like PayPerPost, Sponsored Reviews, Smorty, LoudLaunch.com, Blogsvertise and so many others allow you to post and earn income on that blog FOR your charity. Granted if you earn over 600 you will have to fill out a 10-99 but you can also write it off as a donation to the charity itself. So there are a lot of great ways. Even if you cannot create the website for the charity itself, you can create a separate blog about it and let your readers know you are blogging solely for charity! Believe it or not you may get more readers because of that!
